Blen Source: SND
A blue stripe or spot of cloud.
Fillie-tails/Filly-tails Source: SND
Little ragged clouds, something resembling uncut horse-tails, hence the name; they forbode windy weather.

Purse-mou Source: SND
Applied to a particular type of cloud “assuming the shape of a boat”,and said to presage a high wind.
Saumon Source: SND
A cloud formation (The farmers in Berwickshire say that a long stripe of cloud sometimes called by them a salmon, sometimes called Noah's ark, when it stretches through the atmosphere in an east and west direction is a sign of stormy weather, but when it stretches in a north and south direction, is a sign of dry weather).
Scull-gab Source: SND
A cloud formation fancifully resembling a scull and indicating from what direction the wind is likely to blow, called in Eng. a Noah's ark.
Wadder-mouth Source: SND
A cloud-formation in which long trails of cloud appear to converge at either end.
Weather mouth Source: SND
A mouth-like cloud formation (Long tails of cloud, wider overhead, and apparently nearing towards the horizon on each side — the effect of distance — perspective — appear, and what Border shepherds call a “Noah's Ark”, and Caithness fishermen a “weather mouth”, is formed).
Yackle Source: SND
Small white clouds, shaped somewhat like teeth.
